I hope that everyone is having a good week. With these spring-like days we are experiencing it’s hard not to have a good day.
The quote for the week: ”Real friendship is shown in times of trouble; prosperity is full of friends.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
I expect to have another good crowd on hand this Saturday night for The Woodbine Opry. All of the band will be there and our guests will be Thumper Bennett, Debbie Spivey, and Phil Tipton.
This week’s trivia question: This country artist established himself as one of the most respected and versatile performers in country music. In 1939, he became the first country artist to host a national radio program, NBC’s Avalon Time, co-hosted by Red Skelton. In 1945, he became the first country artist to record in Nashville. His critics dubbed him “the barnyard Bing Crosby”. Who is he?
Last week’s answer: Roy Clark
I hope to see you all Saturday at The Woodbine Opry.
