A fine time was had at the Woodbine Opry tonight!  Our first-time visitors came from St. Marys, Marietta, Waverly, Atlanta, Ga., and Orange Park and Jacksonville, Fl.  We welcomed several from the South Camden High classes of 1947-50 that were having a school  reunion.  I hope you all had a good time visiting with us there at Woodbine High.  I understand it was once quite a rivalry, but that was then.

We again had a tableful of goodies to give away.  Our half-n-half money was $147.00.

With Veterans Day approaching next week, we recognized the many veterans in attendance.  We thank these men for their service to our country.

Did we have a good time or what at the Woodbine Opry tonight!  There was a good crowd on hand for tonight’s opry and we had fun.  Our first-time visitors came from Kingsland, Ga., Jacksonville and Orlando, Fl.  Our half-n-half money was $170.00.

We recognized several folks having birthdays this week.  Everyone needs a little recognition now and then.  We enjoy acknowledging those with birthdays, and singing “Happy Birthday” to them.

We all missed Mike Prefontaine as he added to each night’s performance.  I posted earlier in the week of his passing.  Our prayers and thoughts are still with Margie and the family.

Hoydt and the gang were a blue-grassin’ their hearts out tonight.  Those guys have fun!  The folks in the audience were enjoying themselves, also.  The half-n-half money was $90.00, not bad for a Friday.

I am saddened to report that Mike (Flash) Prefontaine passed away Monday evening.  Mike was well known for his antics and interaction there at the Opry and provided much off-stage entertainment.  A memorial service will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, Oct. 24 at Ella Park Church on Horsestomp Road.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to Margie and the family.

I will miss him.
