The last program for 2012 was another great one here at The Woodbine Opry/Saturday Night, in Woodbine, Georgia.  Our first-time visitors were from Brunswick, Ga., Orlando and Pensacola, Fl., and Spencer, Ohio.  I do hope that each of you enjoyed the evening with us and can come back again.  Woodbine12-29-12 026

Again we had a table-full of goodies to give away; thanks to all who donated to this cause.  Our half-n-half was $167.00, bringing the total of the half-n-half for the year to $11,527.00, an all-time high.  This money is received by The Old School Committee for bill paying and upkeep and I am sure they appreciate everyone of you who donate to their purpose.

Those providing tonight’s entertainment were Robert McCullers, Brian Rowland, J.C. Hunnicutt, John LeMaster, Hershel Hickox, Tim Murray, T.K. Hilton, and yours truly.  Thanks to all of these men for the contribution that they made in tonight’s program.

Woodbine12-22-12 107Oh, we had a great time tonight at The Woodbine Opry.  Everyone seemed to be in the Christmas spirit and a fun evening was had.  Our first-time visitors came from Brunswick, Georgia, Memphis, Tennessee, and The North Pole; that’s right, none other than Santa Claus came to The Woodbine Opry and made a short appearance and lead us all in “Jingle Bells”.  It just goes to show you that one never gets too old to enjoy the magic that Christmas brings.

I want to thank all who donated to the cake table as again we had a full table of goodies to give away.  The half-n-half was $178.00.

A good time was had tonight right here in Woodbine, Georgia at The Woodbine Opry. Woodbine12-15-12 035 Our first-time visitors came from Nahunta and Brunswick, Ga.  Thanks to all who donated to the cake table as again we had an over-flowing amount of goodies to give away.  The half-n-half tonight was $169.00.  Thanks to all of you who purchased the tickets.

I want to thank those fellas that make up The Woodbine Opry Band:  Robert McCullers, J.C. Hunnicutt, Brian Rowland, Hershel Hickox, and Aubrey Jones.  The dedication shown by each of these men to the Opry is remarkable.  The commitment they make to the Opry on a weekly basis is very much appreciated by myself and those in attendance.

Joe Muench will be back with us on drums this Saturday.  It’s always a pleasure have Joe with us.
